I have had adventures and misadventures in my life, and I feel like they were all experiences that would lead me to my fate: to be a mother.  After I met and married Aaron, life didn’t exactly go as planned.  We experienced heartache multiple times as we planned and prayed to become parents.  While we struggled to conceive and stay pregnant, I became dispirited, and found solace in books that I could identify with.  There was some comfort in knowing that I wasn’t alone, that others had traveled similar (but not identical) paths.  That is my only hope for this book, to give support to other families who are in situations that they hoped never to be in.  I composed to the best of my ability and memory, my journey to become a mama, my most treasured role.
